Evolving Spatial Patterns

چکیده
the venue for interaction a virtual online data super-store. Additionally, the accessibility to data is no longer tied to ownership or control of the acquiring technology, subject to considerable government restriction, or restricted to only those entities that can invest in considerable computer storage. In recent years, several private companies have built the requisite infrastructure to make data more accessible to a broader audience near-real-time via the internet. Advances in associated standards, such as ISO JPEG 2000 (JP2) and Geography Markup Language (GML), are integral to these market advances, as well as the value-added tools and technologies that are now being designed to facilitate true interoperability. Clearly, there are geopolitical issues helping to drive the current business of earth observation. International tensions, especially since the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, have certainly kept defense and security high on the priority list of most nations. Combine defense with natural disasters, such as the 2004 Sumatran Tsunami, and increased attention on global warming and there is an increased demand for four-dimensional high-resolution remote sensing of our environment. Furthermore, in addition to the traditional “remote” platforms – satellite and aerial – individual citizens have become another earth observing-platform generating realtime views of what exists at any given moment in any given place. So, the final trend in earth observation is this ubiquity of data; the push of timely, high-resolution data to any device, anytime, anywhere.

ERMO-DG: Evolving Region Moving Object Dataset Generator
It is often essential to create datasets with foreseeable characteristics. For the design and testing of advanced spatiotemporal pattern mining algorithms, adaptable and large datasets are needed. In this paper, we present a synthetic dataset generator, ERMO-DG, that is intended for creating spatiotemporal patterns. Generated datasets consist of spatiotemporal object instances of different feat...
متن کاملTESTING FOR “RANDOMNESS” IN SPATIAL POINT PATTERNS, USING TEST STATISTICS BASED ON ONE-DIMENSIONAL INTER-EVENT DISTANCES
To test for “randomness” in spatial point patterns, we propose two test statistics that are obtained by “reducing” two-dimensional point patterns to the one-dimensional one. Also the exact and asymptotic distribution of these statistics are drawn.
متن کاملSpatial Patterns of Poverty in Iran
Poverty can have spatial dimensions. While general figures might show the spatial pattern of poverty, there is a need for more detailed examination of this pattern. Relying on simple figures of spatial patterns and ranking regions based on them might be misleading. This paper tries to apply spatial analysis methodsm, namely spatial autoregressive models to find out the impacts of space on the h...
متن کاملExplaining the role of patterns of the event derived from natural and cultural factors in shaping the spatial patterns of vernacular architecture; Case study: Sar Agha Seyed village
Iranian vernacular architecture has a wide geographical scope and sustainability principles that need more than ever to be analyzed, reread and criticized scientifically and fairly. A reading that is the basis for improving the processes and methods of preserving these properties, the intervention method, achieving the cultural roots and architectural typology of Iran. As much influenced by nat...
متن کاملExplaining the spatial patterns of drought intensities in Iran
Recognition of spatial patterns of drought plays an important role in monitoring, predicting, confronting, reducing vulnerability, and increasing adaptation to the hazard. The aim of this study is to identify the spatial distribution and analyze the annual, seasonal, and monthly spatial patterns of drought intensities in Iran. For this purpose, drought intensities were extracted from the month...
متن کاملA Query Based Approach for Mining Evolving Graphs
An evolving graph is a graph that can change over time. Such graphs can be applied in modelling a wide range of real-world phenomena, like computer networks, social networks and protein interaction networks. This paper addresses the novel problem of querying evolving graphs using spatio-temporal patterns. In particular, we focus on answering selection queries, which can discover evolving subgra...
